Vomiting can cause arrhythmia due to: 1) Hypok from loss of K via H-K ATPase in kidneys to counteract metabolic alkalosis 2) Extracellular shift of H with intracellular shift of K This leads to more negative resting membrane of the cardiac myocytes leading to hyperpolarization and delayed conduction ie U wave and TdP

Why does sunlight cause rash in SLE? Sunlight (UV Light) - induced apoptosis of keratinocytes -> nuclear antigens more exposed -> antibodies in SLE detects this and attacks area -> inflammation!
