As a former Police Minister and notwithstanding the lockdown and pandemic, this has got to be the most absurd, stupid and often brutal police response to a peaceful vigil. Hobnail booted, thick response when smart, risk assessed, intelligence-led policing was demanded. Sad night

This week in Parliament a vote takes place on a Govt Bill giving police further powers to restrict the right to peaceful protest. Last night’s scenes only reinforce my view of how dangerous this could be. I will be voting against the Police, Crime, Sentencing & Courts Bill.

We have had to sign a new trade deal with them which now include bilateral tarrifs. We ONLY have a tarrif based trade deal with Norway. Its not better than we had.

No Sophie. The Pandemic has been blamed for all economic downturn. In reality Brexit is playing a considerable part and to date is hardly mentioned at all in mainstream media. I’m in Business I see the effects of Covid. I also see the effects directly related to Brexit.
