Let's get personal. Your father Werner was a burger server in suburban Santa Barbara, when he spurned your mother Verna for a curly-haired surfer named Roberta. Did that hurt her? murg glurg flurg murg murg murg tennis murg murg. Was a murg murg flurg?

🚨👶 Jérémy Doku could temporarily leave Belgium's World Cup camp to be present for the birth of his son, and the debate has exploded across Europe. 🇧🇪 French journalist France Pierron didn't hold back: 🗣️ Pierron: "Are you seriously telling me these players have sacrificed everything to come to the World Cup, and you're leaving just to cut an umbilical cord? 😳 You're lucky enough to play in a World Cup. It's an incredible privilege, and hundreds of footballers would do anything to be in your position. That opportunity might never come around again in your life. And you're going to throw it all away just to attend your child's birth? It's a moment where the father isn't really needed. He has a symbolic role. You hold her hand and take a photo. And then what? You're going to miss 10 hours, experience an emotional high, and be exhausted afterwards. You can't miss a World Cup. Some people may have gone into debt just to get to the World Cup, maybe sacrificed everything to be there, and you're leaving to cut an umbilical cord..." 😳 The reaction has completely split fans. Some believe family comes before everything, while others see the World Cup as an opportunity that may never come around again. 🌍 What would you do: stay with your national team or be there for your son's birth? 🤔

The fact that Liverpool bought Sadio Mane for less than £40 million is crazy. How much do you think Prime Sadio Mane would be worth in today’s transfer market?

@_pauljoyce Inter offered according their capacity. We all know the financial condition and the drop of football quality in serie a. I don't know if we sell curtis to them at 25m, will they be able to pay him his salary?

Liverpool irritated by Inter Milan’s latest lowball offer for Curtis Jones (€25m/£21.6m) and don’t think they are being serious given midfield market this summer. thetimes.com/sport/football…

@Lfc_samie He wasn't even bad yesterday. He did pretty well considering he went against Kimmich playing on the side he doesn't prefer

@SpecialLfc And even then he was 5 years older than Diomande is now. And he was playing in a weaker league. And Porto had financial problems and weren't getting CL revenue for that season. A lot more goes into transfer valuation than just production from the previous season.

@Dammie_lfc I don't get what your point is lol LFC would want more than 100m for Rio too. The club briefed reporters that he's literally untouchable.

@SpecialLfc And? What does that have to do with anything? If LFC hadn't sold him to Bayern, you think he'd be sitting on the teamsheet at 24 years old? Selling him for £65m at 28 was great business considering he was pretty streaky for LFC. Glad to see he's for in so well at bayern

@TheAnfieldRpt If that price was accurate I'd be completely fine with getting him, but not in place of someone like Diomande. Problem is that West Ham want £50m. Munoz was a much better deal at £34.5m, so I'm fine with that decision if he's the only rotational attacker LFC sign this summer.

@Gametheorist_ Diomande is 7 years younger. Affects how long the club expects to have him, affects his wage, and thus, his transfer value is higher. Kinda always been how it works

I really love Diomandé, I really do. He’s a special athlete. However, he should be worth around the amount Manchester city paid for peak Semenyo. Nothing close to 100M, that’s really outrageous. 60–65M max is his true worth. I mean he’s not even better than Semenyo yet.

@adamrowecomedy Leipzig is a club with a long track record of providing young players with enough playing time and opportunity to help them have a breakout season. Last year if you were Yan would you have picked sitting behind Mo for a bench role or starting for Leipzig?

Genuine question… I’d imagine we have scouts who’s job it is to try and find the next major talent before they become “worth” €100m… If this lad is as good as they say and he’s worth that now (according to our recruitment team) how did they miss him a year before?
DaveOCKOP@DaveOCKOP

🚨 Liverpool are expected to return with an improved offer of around €115M for Yan Diomande. It would be incredible business for RB Leipzig who signed him for around €20M last summer. daveockop.com/transfer-news/…
