I keep hearing from executives that they expect that a new generation of "AI natives" will show them how to use AI. I think this is a mistake:
1) Our research shows younger people do not really get AI or how to integrate into work
2) Experienced managers are often good prompters

@ESYudkowsky Break the task down and give it one small thing at a time. It’ll still fail! Give it multiple tries with different seeds. Treat it like an intern & calibrate your expectations accordingly. Some interns don’t get asked back.

@robterrell When I try it, it literally does not work at all. I don't get bad versions of the thing I ask for, I get a webpage claiming to be a forum with no active UI elements that would allow for creating a post.

I have ideas about what might maybe produce a nicer flow of distributed conversation than Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, chans, or Discord. If AI was advanced enough to iterate over UI flows, I could try out ideas quickly.
I have not currently found any LLM that writes working code.

Possibly it's a skill issue in prompting. Or maybe you'd have to be ludicrously naive to try paying $35 to Replit Agent, or asking Claude to build you an Artifact. In this case, I ask who's getting amazing excellent results, and would walk me through what I'm doing wrong.

I always wondered why games almost never use realistic gravity. Turns out realistic gravity just seems way too floaty. Does anyone know why? Maybe we're just not used to actually falling such distances?

Yeah but like ignore them? Like the Greek system in colleges, it has its own internal politics and leaderboard but no bearing on actual success. Just build your thing and make it great. Half the people who go to events in SF are strivers who can’t build anything.
