Witch Hat Atelier anime producer Hiroaki Kojima (@kojima2019), founder and CEO (president) of BUG FILMS, responds to fans noticing manga–anime differences just a day after the April 6, 2026 premiere. He revealed that Episode 1 originally included multiple fully animated scenes that were ultimately cut during editing due to strict TV runtime constraints. He also expressed hope for a future director’s cut release, which could restore the omitted content for viewers.
