Asteroids were fractured by freeze-thaw of ice. Life-giving water flowed throughout the asteroids that were to deliver water to Earth. Freeze-thaw helps make Earth-like planets throughout the Cosmos. Our paper is published in Nature Astronomy today. nature.com/articles/s4155…
