@m1ng05s It’s not about skill. Just look at CS or Dota—both have a huge learning curve, yet they’re some of the most played games out there.

@rocketjumpzone I don't think it's only that. Games like quake/unreal tournament have a crazy high skill ceiling in regards to any other shooter,and I think that's the main problem,YouTubers/younger generations simply don't have or won't bother using their brain power to learn it

Quake 3 clones keep failing because nostalgia isn’t a design pillar. Reflex Arena, Diabotical, Warfork, Xonotic — proof that you can’t out-clone the original.
