@redheadmuscboy I am so so sorry to hear that. And thank you so much. I am glad we can all connect and destigmatize these kinds of conversations 🤍🤍🤍

@rocketplz I had a fissure in 2022 from sa & unfortunately saw a dr who performed LIS surgery on me w.o my consent which led to months of healing, trauma, shame, and discomfort. Couldn't have sex for close to a year. Thank you for sharing, these issues are especially traumatic for us gays

@rocketplz You are absolutely not alone, I had my colon removed through 3 surgeries, the colostomy bag, and a j pouch, about 13 years ago because of Crohn's disease. Fistulas hurt so bad. I'm glad you are here rocket.
English

@mattsdoormats No but if this 4th surgery doesn’t work you can bet I will be looking into this and looking for a new doctor 😂 thank you for the recommendation 🙏 I just looked it up and it sounds interesting

@rocketplz Have you tried HBOT? There’s really promising studies emerging on healing fistulas (even up to 5 year old ones)
English

@rocketplz you actually just got it from being a dum bich (official medical diagnosis)

A gay incel republican reposted this and his incel followers are now claiming that I got this from fisting or having a ton of sex and that I deserve it. The year preceding my diagnosis, I did not have sex at all because I was suffering from digestive issues.

I was diagnosed with a complex anorectal fistula 2 yrs ago. I am having my 4th surgery July. As a gay man I cannot begin to explain the shame I feel. I can barely look at myself in the mirror. I feel incredibly isolated and abandoned. But I am proud of myself for not giving up.

@rocketplz Proctological issues are more widespread than one might imagine, but few people talk about it. Thank you for breaking the silence. I wish you all the best 😘

@rocketplz Hi friend, I am proud of you too. As a gay man who has complex health diagnosis now on year 10 of Leukemia just pushing through is the hardest part. Wishing you well on your journey. -Steven M

@SmilethenDie I am so sorry. The 1st year of living with the diagnosis and the surgery is the toughest. It will get better in terms of learning to live with it esp knowing that it is temporary. Most people do get cured even if the journey is difficult! I am wishing the best for you 🤍

@rocketplz I'm about to have my first MRI to examine mine. This post really hit me hard. I've been living with this for 9 months and can't begin to verbalise the mental trauma I've experienced. I just have to keep going or I fear I will just stop

@rocketplz I feel you. Had my first surgery last year and soon I’m having my next one 🫠🫠

@ravenstue @Charles95684721 Yup. I took the selfie while taking a sitz bath. People are making fun of me for posting a selfie from my bathtub, but it’s become my second home at this point 😭
English

@tizanthony I’m so sorry for your loss :( I made sure to get screened because some of the symptoms can be similar for a host of other bad news. I am very lucky to be alive and otherwise healthy 🤍🤍 thank you so much for your kind words

@rocketplz My female friend had a similar issue. Sadly developed Cancer and passed away. The assumption & judgement were appalling. Takes courage to share this. 👍👊
English

@rocketplz Absolutely terrible thing to go thru. I hope they get it right.
English

@rocketplz And also so sorry YOU are going through this as well. All the luck and love on your healing journey ❤️🩹

@rocketplz I have no idea how that must you bring you down, but thank you so much for sharing this with us! I wish we were close to give you a warm hug and ask you to hang out and shares some laughs, you’re a brave man and made my day a bitter by reading this. Much love from Rio, Brazil! ❤️

@rocketplz I had this too, no one understood the pain. Belittled it even. Just know that diet helps with healing, and pressing it to make sure nothing is stuck in the canal when you take a bath or shower helps ALOT. Sending you good vibes

@carolinexxo_ Thank you! It's a hard situation regardless of who you are, but I am sure you are providing whatever support you can to your colleague and I am sure she appreciates it. Thank you for the kind words!
English

@rocketplz I actually have a female coworker going thru this right now. I know your situations are different but it’s so sad watching her go through this and I can’t imagine the pain she’s in. Don’t feel shame, be around people that will love and support you.

@rocketplz I had this surgery too (twice) due to complications from a previous op. iv been ok ever since what would end up being my 4th op, which was 10 years ago now! I still worry it will come back or the trouble will start again. Hopefully your next surgery will be your last 🙏
