@yurtwallander @literar63 Saw disadvantage of this this morning lol. Shonan-Shinjuku & Saikyo lines both delayed due to "unknown sound". Ended up with a local, which was then held for 10mins+ waiting for express to pass on quad, before the merge to double. This happened in 2 places, (not fully quadded)

Going in with goal of electrification meaning 'extend metro trains to Melton', rather than more efficient/frequent/higher capacity trains to meet a specific service level, then choose the vehicles & infra from there
