@rockridgesf A key market strategy implies that this isn't a serious hire. If this were a long term strategy they would announce a shift in infrastructure. As you've basically described this is a marketing play. It's one that I think women will see through and ultimately they won't respond.

@archbyccb I think it’s more of a wait and see. I think FL is attempting to take advantage of the current sentiment around women customers and trying to appeal to their needs. If it works in the short term than they’ll shift to a long term strategy.

@archbyccb It’s not but it’s the speed of the market. I can see her program being more social and online. Those are the channels where they are under penetrated. They’ll dedicate a few shops to her in key markets

@rockridgesf 9 months isn't long enough. The stores aren't set up to feature women's gear. Women don't even think about FootLocker for apparel. This can only be an online/IG driven concept. It lacks the retail & online merchandising space. FTL is over invested in Nike, that leaves 0 room.
