Celebrate Juneteenth today with a Parade downtown at 9 am. Guided tours of the African American Heritage trail from 10 am to noon, followed by festivities at Douglass Park from noon to 2 pm.

It’s been a year and half since the homicide of Nadria Wright.
I spoke with her mother who tells me how she feels just three days after the man charged in her death was sentenced. She says today was supposed to be the start of the trial however, the suspect took an Alford plea.
