Universal Blender Material by Munsplit v1.2 is out. Fixed many issues with bevel/ao/texture interaction and also added camo texture, and noise texture clamping. You can find it on my Artstation Store page.

@womanfailure A lot of fnaf 3d artists have. It's pretty much the same thing-- very primitive-heavy modeling, poor lighting, and using triplanar-projected noise to texture literally everything but the eyes

The trick with all these machine learning experiments I'm doing is there comes a point where I have to decide if I care more about *accuracy* or if I want it to look crazier. There's a fine edge you have to try and hone there. It reminds me of drawing in that way.

my gabor synthesis diffusion model is finally starting to take shape. I think with more data to train I can get this to include more high frequency detail in the generated images.

Results from a failed attempt to train a latent diffusion model on the results of my gabor image fitting process. The model doesn't do what it was supposed to, but I don't really mind what it's doing.

@ashlee3dee I never even considered this. so cool. I love how much marathon leaned into the spacial marker look that computer vision and stuff uses.

i really like this kind of optic in marathon. it makes me imagine that the optic wirelessly transmits the image directly into the mind of the runner.

@poellll have you ever checked out the semiotic symbol alphabet used in the alien franchise? it's copyrighted to all hell but it's gone through some really cool iterations and usages throughout the movies and games
