Estou fazendo uma pesquisa de adaptações fílmicas de grandes nomes da literatura brasileira. Tenho mapeado: Bressane/Machado; Saraceni/Lúcio Cardoso; Hora da Estrela; Macuinaíma; Vidas Secas; São Bernardo; Lavoura Arcaica; Augusto Matraga. Que mais vocês indicam pro projeto?

@rod_ol Um dos mais durões que tem sem precisar falar muito. Ele aparece cedo em The Wire? Cheguei a ver uma temporada ano passado e admito que não lembro dele (tava gostando muito, mas fiquei sem paciência pra série longa naquele momento)

Lance Reddick tá monumental em The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial. Que bela despedida de um ator que me marcou muito em Fringe na adolescência (o mesmo vale pra Kiefer Southerland que também marcou com 24 Horas).

@feuilladist “Louder Than Bombs” is my favorite of his, cause it’s all Nordic psychological excess with an international cast and a flop, and the more recent ones fell at once more mature and also watered down, which is a thing age and experience does sometimes.

@rod_ol Ah interesting, I haven't seen them yet. Very interesting turn in his style, then - which I suppose is at least partially what the film is about

@feuilladist The shallow internationalizing thing is more of a mystery to me, cause I feel Trier knows the call is coming from inside the house, but then it was his “Frances Ha” take in “Worst Person” that made him a household name.

@feuilladist The WW2 film has the same stylings of “Louder Than Bombs” or “Thelma”, give or take a bad child actor, I feel. And I don’t think the Lasse Halstrom joke was written as a joke.
