The details of what is happening in Music at Goldsmiths are brutal. As things stand they will lose a collaborative Leverhulme Doctoral College grant (7 funded PhDs) and an AHRC grant. Staff FTE reduced by 35%. Negative impacts on curriculum and pastoral care cannot be avoided.

Given the amount of energy devoted to horizon scanning and new sexy courses based on expensive consultancy, it's a shame that this 'easy win' isn't being embraced: a simple reimagining that makes the most of the interdisciplinarity and research that universities should treasure

There's nothing like blasting out a bit of #Zappa before bed! Always an uplifting way to remember Dad on his birthday. I can still hear him, headphones plugged into the stereo, shouting out inappropriate lyrics & going crazy to the guitar solos! I miss him everyday 🎸❤️
