FH34 might look like one of the most “template-heavy” GW of the season… but I’m not sure it’s as straightforward as it seems. 14 teams and 7 fixtures, which means a smaller pool of players to choose, but still plenty of room for different interpretations. -On paper, Spurs away to Wolves looks like the standout. But this is a team that hasn’t won in like forever… are we really that confident going triple Spurs? -Bruno will likely be in every team, but Brentford are still pushing for Europe. Is there really space for 2–3 United? -Arsenal has strong defensive appeal, but we’ve also seen them bottled it before, a few time now. Do we trust the attack as well, now that they actually need goals? -Palace might have Europe in mind, doesn't change the fact that they have a strong defence. Liverpool haven’t exactly been free-scoring either. -Sunderland is tough to beat, and Forest are fighting for survival. Could go either way. -Same for West Ham vs Everton, both needed the points for different reasons. -Fulham vs Villa, with interesting attackers from both sides, could be a complete goal fest. So the more I look at it, the more I feel this isn’t a GW to blindly follow a template. Yes, the pool is smaller, but it’s still big enough for completely different interpretations. You can build narratives for almost every match. FH doesn’t just mean you’re “free” from taking minus points… It also should mean you’re free from the constraints of herd thinking. Build your own draft first, based on how you think these games will play out. Back your own reasoning. Then if you really need to listen, or use models, by all means do it. But use them to compare, use them to see what you missed out. Don't assume that because everyone FH and there is a template, it's impossible to use this GW to gain rank, every pick is a possibility! #FPL #FPLCommunity

Draft #1 for FH33. I like Darlow as a differential to Verbruggen, although I may still want some Brighton coverage in the XI. Rayan is a huge differential, averaging 0.33 xGI since joining in January, but he played the fewest minutes today since then, coming off at 70. That could be down to travel after returning from Brazil midweek, but it’s something to keep in mind. A lot of the other picks are self-explanatory. I’ll inevitably go through plenty more drafts, but it’s good to start building a framework.

@BuschEbba @avPublicService Förskräckligt. Men - i ärlighetens namn - ni har haft makten i 3.5 år. Rimligen kände ni till PS extrema vänsterlutning när ni kom till makten. Varför tog ni inte tag i problemet dag 1. Nu får ni slåss både mot vänsterblocket och PS fram till valet.

SVTs film Vid Pump är bitvis ett prima exempel på agenda-driven journalistik. Man intervjuar en politisk motståndare till regeringen – vänstersocialisten Timmermans (fram till nyligen de rödgrönas ledare i Nederländerna) som att han vore ett sanningsvittne om industri- och klimatpolitik. Hans påståenden lämnas till största del helt oemotsagda i sändningen. Man ställer flertalet frågor till mig om hans hårda uttalanden mot Sverige – men tar enbart med svaret som rör hans anklagelser om ”högerradikal påverkan”. Sedan tar man med när jag reagerar på den partiska ingångsvinkeln – baserat på Timmermanns åsiktsvinkel – men visar inte tittaren varför. Sedan har ansvarig utgivare mage att gå ut och med en ny vinklad kommentar – det är naturligtvis illa. Och det är ett övertydligt exempel på SVTs blinda fläckar. Ps. För övrigt se gärna dokumentären.
