🚨My new cover for @acsnano! The study shows how ultra-thin “van der Waals” materials (only one atom thick) can shape and twist beams of light. By mixing different kinds of laser pulses Tenzin Norden, Wilton Kort-Kamp and Prashant Padmanabhan generated beautifully structured “twisted” light that could be useful for quantum technologies, ultra-secure communication, and new optical devices! ✨ #CoverExplained: I designed the artwork to capture the moment when multiple colorful light beams strike a single-layer material.
