I’m not kidding when I say that Kaori Sakamoto single-handedly healed women’s skating after the Beijing women’s free skate. She walked out of that incredibly dark moment and stood for joy. And sportsmanship. And excellence. And everyone followed. What a gift she gave us.

@tddt_5115 The man just captained his team to an Olympic Gold for his country and it was overseas. Him and the rest of the team deserve to enjoy it for a few days before all getting back to business. If he misses one game so be it. This has absolutely no impact on his leadership quality

i think i've made myself pretty clear already but just to say. i love the leafs. they're my team. i will never not support them and i will never not love hockey. am34 was my favourite player when i first got into hockey. but fuck that man. he's a coward and he's not my captain.

We were given information at Nationals and were awaiting further direction. I know everyone has their favorites, but spewing vitriol, & deliberately trying to sabotage an elite athletes image with deceitful lies is completely vicious especially by another woman. I stand with G&M

@roeraby Exactly the media at nationals started this with the quotes from Maddie that weren’t very nice meanwhile gabby didn’t say anything bad ever about her competitors gabby outskated her at the sp at nationals then had a great 4cc ppl seem to forget gabbys been injured for years

@tnodom_0515 the story goes that she got into an altercation at tcc with zhenya when she was there and she was asked to leave. and then on top of that there are countless posts on reddit that talk about how she would bully and intimidate younger skaters 🤷🏻♀️

@AnythingGOE @SkateCanada should have given @gabby_daleman an assignment... she skated great at Nationals. Gabby had great success before injuries. Now she's healthy/ready to skate. She has 2 Gold/5 Silver medals at Canadian Nationals/Bronze medal at 2017 Worlds/ Team Gold at 2018 Olympics.
