Very much looking forward to Alex's talk this evening @WiltshireMuseum. Linear ditches & earthworks have fascinated me for a long time. I live close to the Berkshire Grim's Ditch & am working with @thorneh to present an exhibition about this area. I'm drawn to painting them too.

"The Howgill Fells, Yorkshire Dales", watercolour. The Howgill Fells are in the far northwest corner of the Yorkshire Dales and abut the Lake District. Unlike most of the Dales which are limestone, these Fells are mainly sandstone and mudstone and over 100 million years older.
