A 51-year-old man fell to their death Saturday during jam band Goose’s concert at New York’s Madison Square Garden rollingstone.com/music/music-ne…

To clarify this, new Torero would be sick if we had never heard the song before but I prefer the OG version
Looking forward to hearing how this translates live or if it ends up being like the short lived studio arrangements of Tea and Arrow

Not a huge fan of new Torero but it’s still nowhere near as bad as the Your Ocean rework lol

@NevilleHarris88 To me this is a powerful version that likely fits in with the aesthetic of the album as a whole. People get way too precious about the live version vs. what they end up doing in the studio. The live versions are always there for relisten.

Goose with the surprise Torero single drop minutes ago. It’s.. uh.. different from the Torero we’re used to

@Steven_Hyden Seeing them at the Capitol theater in port Chester New York next week (it’s pretty close to sold out). Actually looking forward to it because I think their music will hit better in smaller rooms. Maybe time to get back in when the stock is low 😉

I wrote about The Black Keys, a band I featured 13 years ago in the Grantland series "The Winners' History of Rock n' Roll," and how and why they became the opposite of winners in the time since. (Also includes a relevant tangent on the late Kaleb Horton.)

@Steven_Hyden Would love the alternate reality where the strokes play more shows and have a Pearl Jam approach where there is a much different setlist every night. In any case I’m greatful that they still play together at all and have new music on the way all these years after this is it

Show some love to “Life Is Simple In The Moonlight,” fellas!

ストロークスのコーチェラのセットリスト。初期3作と2020年の最新アルバム、先日の新曲のみで固め、2010年代を完スルーした徹底ぶり。

@NevilleHarris88 The version on the album it studio perfection. An absolutely pristine recording. I can’t understand how there are people that wouldn’t enjoy it.
English

@cametoplaywith @NevilleHarris88 The studio version of the song everything must go is good
English

@mdm1971 @Steven_Hyden I hate that they’re compared just cuz of their name, but they are an interesting comparison of two bands on the rise at the same time but in two completely different lanes (indie world and jam band world)
English

Mission accomplished lol
rychkid@rychkid
So, Geese is about the worst band I've ever seen on #SNL , and I've been watching since 1977.

@BAGF_E @Steven_Hyden If an old geezer doesn’t get it/hates it, probably a sign of something fresh and exciting.

@NevilleHarris88 I think the first round goes wayyyy too long personally

You can vote for this today starting at 12 EST if you’re so inclined

It took a long time for 2/15 Big Modern to grow on me. I left that show thinking it was good but raving more about a bunch of other stuff. Now it’s one of the jams I go back to most. It isn’t weird or crazy but not everything has to be. Just find a nice space and stay a while
English

@NevilleHarris88 Maybe they take a break on fiddlers this year and do 3 nights at red rocks
English

@Steven_Hyden @OneGoodThing Looks like this gaggle needs a bigger pond
English

@NevilleHarris88 I’d be surprised if they put out an album that was 100% unheard songs given how much of the live stuff still doesn’t have a studio release. Still, a release that was majority new tunes as opposed to just 2-3 new ones would be great.
English

@Real_Big_Red @BarstoolBigCat @goosetheband @geese_band They’re both great. Very different and silly to compare them just cuz of the similar name
English

@Fityeth @EndWokeness He got radicalized cuz of a state school in Utah ?! Come on.
English

@m__mckinney I have no idea if this is true but a few years ago someone posted on the Billy strings subreddit that the gaptooth account is run by Tyler Childers bass player, Craig Burletic
