Dad took me to first #WatfordFC game 1975, I was more interested in kicking plastic cups around in front of the shrodells stand. When he moved out of London in the 50’s he started watching local team the Horns since 1960. He passed in Watford Gen this morning a stones throw away

By the way, you’ll notice that this was recorded before the announcement that Ed Still had been relieved of his duties. However, as we allude to in the pod, it doesn’t really make any material difference who the Head Coach is at this stage. #WatfordFC

Yeah again, careful what you wish for. We’re not shopping in the Matt Grimes market, we’re in the Glenn Murray market. We don’t offer the contracts or pay the fees to get the experience we know we need.
At least with the young overseas lads we have the chance to sell. If I’m wrong then great, but I don’t think we have the budget to get those guys. We’re not 1 or 2 away from fixing this thing.

Am I right in thinking the last time the media called us appointing a head coach was Ismael and it was when the athletic had access to the contacts? Feel like so many names get chucked out with shortlist attached to it and it’s never that head coach being appointed

@JordanWiemer Probably a good idea…..but can we decide on a style first, then select the right coach to fit this (and stick with them) and then decide what players we need?!

@louorns Do you think things will change this summer? The constant change of HC and playing style is creating tons of issues but, if things are going to change, Gino needs to commit to a manager and playing style and the fans need to stop demanding change when we lose 3 in a row

@Holly68Paul Probably….but, as the fan base, don’t you think that we’re part of the problem? We can’t all scream for a new head coach the minute that things go downhill, and then question whether that was the right decision

I bang on about it, but #watfordfc form from Jan 1 onwards needs investigating. Since start of 22/23, we've won 33.3% of league fixtures. But if you look only at games at start of each new year, we win 25%. That's a deep-seated culture issue, not a coincidence.
