Crazy, I mean crazy, expansion plans from major corporate hospital chains for Bangalore. Number of beds will just more than quadruple, at the very least. How much of this is cart before the horse? Ultimately many of them are listed/owned by investors. There will be more action in board rooms than in operation theatres. Our body in health and illness is the new real estate.

Full Circle Moments in Surgical Education ✨ Today was a special day—Dr. Prasanna, my DrNB Surgical Oncology student from a decade ago, whom I trained in surg onco and he did National board training and exams in DrNB under me , today visited me from Salem his Cancer Center to get trained in robotic surgery. I had the privilege of mentoring him during his formative years at Manipal hospital , where he trained under me for 3 years. He stood out as one of my most dedicated and sincere students, with excellent surgical skills and a strong academic inclination—contributing to several publications during his training. Now, years later, seeing him as a successful Consultant Surgical Oncologist and HOD in Salem, and having recently procured a robotic platform for his center, he returned to learn from his mentor once again. Witnessing his growth and passion was both humbling and fulfilling—a reminder of the lasting bonds forged through teaching. Proud of you, Dr. Prasanna. Wishing you the very best as you lead the next generation of robotic surgery in Salem! Best moment for teacher and mentor : vey happy
