Easing back into #100Devs after that long last week. Learning about Objects is a bit over my head right now but it's interesting learning about all the different methods that are built into JS. Class21 tonight. Lets go get!

@ValleAlicio I loved when Leon said this. I have started to do that with some broad strokes but I need to get down to the hour with it.

@rohitsc_codes Schedule everything. Learning, selfcare, work hours, sleep. I was a full time worker during my 100devs experience and this helped me get the most out of my days. I think Leon phrases this as "don't go into your days/weeks like an accident".

Hey #100Devs Twitter. Any tips for dealing with burnout/trough of sorrow? My fulltime job is picking up and I'm finding less and less time to devote to 100Devs. I'm thankful for the community and all the support I've received so far.

@rohitsc_codes @LanceTreyark I straight up cannot retain new info after 4pm. I love to stay up til 2am, but I sacrificed that to wake up at 830am so I can study! IT WORKED.

@LanceTreyark I need to do this. I alway stay up too late trying to cram in stuff I “missed” during the day but if I got up earlier I’d be in a much better mental state. Thank you for the advice

@rohitsc_codes Before work spend an hour coding, wake up earlier go to sleep earlier. At the end of the day is the worst time to code for me personally. Just a suggestion, best of luck! Every step counts!

@isaiahasanchez In a way it’s comforting seeing so many people sharing the same feelings and struggles. I am so grateful for this community and the support everyone gives. All these kind words are very encouraging

@rohitsc_codes Feel you dude, I have felt both during these last couple of months. For me it’s about taking the time and understanding that it is a marathon, not a sprint and we don’t have to get it done quickly to be successful take the time to recalibrate then March on!

@adnerdable I’m trying a similar approach. At least one day where I completely shut it down

@rohitsc_codes I feel ya Rohit. I have similar issues with my day job and what works for me is, I try to work on managing my stress by taking breaks if I need to. I'm getting in the habit of at least doing Anki and one Codewar a day and I try to take Sundays completely off to reset.

@rohitsc_codes I was here last year! what I did when I had time as my job had picked up was basically anki and coding challenges. as Leon says - we are all on the rollercoaster -some might finish first vs others

@rohitsc_codes Do a little bit every day, even if it's only 10 mins. Find ways to squeeze in your studying, like getting up an hour early to study before work, or do your Anki during breaks while you're working out, cooking, or whatever your regular routine is. Keep asking for encouragement!💪

@rohitsc_codes I work 10 - 12 hour nights and can normally only get 30 mins - 1 hour in a day. Just get 1% better each day and remember your end goal. If you take a break to regather yourself don't let it turn into weeks, months, and before you know it years. Go Birds!

@rohitsc_codes Whether you feel life is demanding a complete break, or a decrease in hours your putting in every week, I think that's perfectly ok. Your health and life comes first, we'll always be here when you have the time.💪

@rohitsc_codes Just do a little bit a day: read a blog article, try to do something fun with css, just jump in discord voice to chat and hang out…sometimes it’s the smaller things that’ll get through the lows… No real need to work a heavy lesson or homework, just hang out, have fun and chill

@JackMonaco1 Yea I’m thinking of taking a week off and maybe just focusing on coding challenges during the time off. I think my schedule will open up a bit after this week.

@rohitsc_codes Hey Rohit! I can only speak to what has worked for me personally. There have been times I've stepped away from programming for a week plus. There have also been times where I gave myself some grace, and focused on one or two things out of the many tasks I felt like I had to do.
