@StarRuneTyping my cli is just the min viable implementation of the idea. What you have planned sounds excellent. A great addition would be spaced repetition based on the "forgetting curve" algorithm. So that words that need to be remembered the most are displayed and mastered words are not.

Okay I think I gotcha! Actually, that's something I had planned to do in the next version of the game. I was going to make a "reading" version targeted for schools where the words pronounce themselves before you type them, and then you would be tested by "dark areas".. they'd be disguised in blackness so you wouldn't be able to tell their shape.. essentially it sounds the same as the disappearing you mentioned. Except, I hadn't considered the whole word reappearing. Sounds like an interesting idea! And I'll check it out here shortly! Sorry, it's been a busy day!

@StarRuneTyping Just the same as any touch typing program except that after you type the first character of the current word, the rest of the word disappears and you have to try remember it. if you make a mistake the word resets and you have to try again. try my spell cli to see in action

@StarRuneTyping wow your game looks awesome! If you were to implement some of the spell philosophy into your game words would disappear once you start typing them and then reappear on incorrect attempts. training spelling memory! plus wrongly spelled words would continue to reappear.

@sgaw @starlabsltd yep, awesome laptop but very average keyboard ... not even full sized it seems. Love everything else about it. My $200 pinebook has a better keyboard
