Baba & mama woke up early this morning, had breakfast together, & headed to our beautiful, cosy, home in Dahye to start spring cleaning. They keep saying there is no place like home, & I have never seen nor imagined anyone could clean with so much love & passion. Simple mundane, every day chores turn into events & celebrations. Our hearts are very heavy. But we are home.

هيدي الإنسانة عاشت حياتها كلها بسبيل العمل الإنساني والتطوعي والاجتماعي. اللي بيعرفها بيعرف قديش كانت وجه الجنوب الجميل ومثال متميز للمرأة العاملية بكل جوانب الحياة. الدكتورة مهى أبو خليل، ابنة صور ما تركتها واستشهدت بآخر ربع ساعة قبل تنفيذ الهدنة بغارة نزلت ٥ مباني. اليوم لقوها.

Earlier today, Israeli airstrikes hit the southern Lebanese towns of Zibdine and Ramadiya, killing a mother and her two children in Zibdine, and at least four people in Ramadiya. Among the victims were Bilal Jawad, a member of the Zibdine Municipal Council, his brother Mahdi Jawad, and their mother, Hala Qabbisi.

We were sleeping on our bedding inside the tent. We woke up to find ourselves lying on our bedding in the open, with rain falling on us and on our blankets — the tent was gone. The wind tore my tent away, and now my wife, my children, and I are out in the street under the rain. We are without shelter. What is the fault of the children? Couldn’t the world provide us with caravans or strong tents to live in?
