@HansenAdam The regulations already say she shouldn't have been fined. The cycle path is not separated by a kerb or level change and the organisers did not clearly mark it as not part of the course. It is a paved area available to road traffic & not taped off. She should contest the fine

When I was in Tour of Romandie, 100% of 67 riders did not know they were not allowed to ride on this "red" section, it doesnt have to be red either, just marked as car park or bike path. All riders agreed to use maximum amount of road space for safety. I'd like to change the rule in some way that if the surface material is the same, then riders are allowed to ride on the bike path, car park spaces if there is no difference in material, height or gap in between and it is as "one road". I don't want riders thinking what they can and can not ride on in case of a DSQ or fine. I just want them to just focus on racing. Plus the inconsistency is totally unfair. 1 rider wins, another rider, @romykasper(lady on the right) loses extremely valuable points for her and her team. Same race. ...

@romykasper I'm almost certain that's someone copying the route I posted and nog reading the correction. Someone apologizing for posting a fake route doesn't tend to get a lot of engagement on here 🙈

@romykasper I think it was here: procyclingmaps.com/portfolio/ But as soon as I posted it the picture got removed. Never got to the bottom of why it existed, but it's safe to say it was probably fake. It was in fact only the final laps, no map of the early part of the supposed route
