Ronald Munatsi's Experience: From Evidence to Action for Africa's Future! @ronald_263, drew inspiration from the #Evidence2023 conference's emphasis on collaborative innovation and informed decision-making (EIDM) in #Africa, and eagerly awaits #Evidence2025 to build on this momentum for #EIDM in #Africa. "I was inspired by the  Evidence 2023 conference's deliberate shift away from the usual evidence rhetoric in favour of genuine innovations and collaborations in the African EIDM space. I had the privilege of chairing a session at the Population and Health Research Centre (APHRC), which is promoting Africa's data revolution by building a regional microdata repository to enhance data discoverability and promote responsible open data sharing for evidence-informed decision-making. Evidence 2023 highlighted several research innovations that emphasise the value of co-creation, citizen and other stakeholder involvement, knowledge translation, and capacity development in order to enhance the use of evidence in decision-making. I was also deeply motivated by developments in AI applications and inexpensive data visualisations, including the growing use of impact evaluations in Africa. Additionally, the event fostered and reinforced relationships and concrete collaborations within the African EIDM context. I am excitedly awaiting Evidence 2025 in the hope that it will continue this trend and make EIDM a norm in Africa."
