A tool like Koto would have been so useful when I was at @DeptVetAffairs ... so many seemingly-complex processes like applying for VA healthcare or unemployment are really record management system problems when you break them down.

Instead of spreadsheet rows or custom objects in a Sales CRM, Koto makes it easy to make custom forms and save the data into records. This new set of building blocks makes it easier to build case management systems tailored to different operations.

After working with several organizations trying to serve those in need it became clear that the software they were using could be much better. They try to use spreadsheets and CRMs to manage their cases but these aren’t the right tools for the job.

Agreed. I was there too. Viv isn’t “scared” of difficult work. She’s done a lot of it. It’s an inaccurate and lazy characterization that undermines peers in this space who have to make tough decisions about where they work.

You need to issue a correction. Viv didn’t turn down the CIO of Puerto Rico gig bc she was *scared.* Viv isn’t scared of anything. I was on the phone with her every day during these negotiations. She only asked for a little time off first after 6 grueling years at the White House
