@ronpeasley @MalikFOE1 @mattrife Your being disingenuous for trying to falsely equate someone making a degrading remark about people whom his platform is trying to garner political support vs a comedic skit
English

The Druski skit situation is funny to me. The skit is hilarious. People being offended need to grow up. BUT everyone defending the skit also needs to keep this same energy about aaalllllllll comedy. Don’t go crying next time a bit upsets you personally. If jokes shake you to your soul SO deeply, consider that you may be an emotionally underdeveloped human, not fit for this life. The world needs comedy ❤️
English

Yeah I guess if you want to make that distinction, that's fair but I think the fact that Drewski put it in his caption, you know, like conservative women, right, like it's obviously gonna be political.
To say it's not political is just kind of being a little bit disingenuous in my opinion but okay so let's say someone else makes just a random skit about black liberal women and they're in blackface. It's a white guy.
As long as you know you think that's okay, like I'm 100% with you.
English

@ronpeasley @MalikFOE1 @mattrife Bc the guy was at a political rally.
This is a comedic skit not a political rally
English

Yeah if someone makes a joke about liberals or they do blackface, as long as people don't get outraged about that, then it's all fair game to me.
A good example is when that guy made a joke at Trump's rally in Madison Square Garden about Puerto Rico being a pile of trash. Literally there were mainstream headlines all over the place talking about how offensive that was. I don't know, is a joke a joke, right?
English

@ronpeasley @MalikFOE1 @mattrife What is “sides” druski is a comedian, thats his job?
U mean apply to other comedians?
English

@ronpeasley @mattrife I've always been a believer in 'no joke is off limits' but I will admit it feels a bit weird seeing so many people cheer for this joke when I just know alot of them would flip if the subject wasn't Erika Kirk
English

Yeah I personally don't think white face is offensive.
I don't think black face is offensive unless you're obviously trying to be very derogatory, if you're just trying to impersonate a black celebrity or something and making playful jabs, I don't think that's offensive.
For the Drewski skit I only thought it was offensive when I found out that it was about Erica Kirk specifically.
English

@ronpeasley @MalikFOE1 @mattrife White ppl have been making blackface and caricatures of black ppl for centuries
English

It's not really hypothetical. Let's say someone like Shane Gillis put on blackface and then did a skit about black female liberals, right? I'm pretty sure the left would be extremely offended.
They would come up with a bunch of excuses and reasons why, like, "Oh racism has existed for so long, blah blah."
How come they always get to choose the arbitrary line of what's offensive and then they can decide that, like, a woman whose husband was shot and murdered on live TV is acceptable to make fun of.
English

Yeah I would agree. I actually thought it was funny when I first saw the video on Instagram and then I didn't realize it was Erica Kirk. As soon as I did, I thought, "Oh it's actually not that funny; it's kind of bad taste."
That's just my opinion; I'm not offended by it. I'm not offended by Drewski doing it. I'm more offended by how much it exposes how much people are secretly bullies but pretend to have a moral high ground.
English

@ronpeasley @mattrife But it's THIS way around and people are freaking out, so aren't both sides a bit hypocritical? Just have a laugh
English

And actually when I first saw the Juicy skit, I thought it was fucking hilarious and I didn't even realize it was Erika Kirk until I saw all the comments, cause I don't really watch those Erika Kirk videos and didn't realize how she dressed. As soon as I realized it, I kinda flipped the switch and thought, "Oh this isn't funny at all actually. It's kinda like fucked up."
But like I said I'm not really offended. It's just kind of funny watching how the masses will easily jump in and bully someone like that
English

I think Druski is actually pretty funny to be honest with you but this isclearly this is political; he literally even says, "This is conservative women."
I just think that he shouldn't have alluded to Erica Kirk specifically. That's all
The question is, if someone like Druski, who is white like, say Shane Gillis, did the exact same skit making fun of liberal women but it was in blackface, would you find it just as funny?
I would find both just as funny as long as it wasn't about Erica Kirk specifically.
My guess tho is that liberals would be extremely offended by that other version even if it was just a generic black liberal girl.
English

And yeah I did think Tropic Thunder was pretty funny for its time and I wasn't offended by the blackface, just like I'm not offended by whiteface, blackface, Asianface, whatever. It doesn't really bother me.
It's more of how liberals kind of rally around this type of stuff and make fun of it when they easily get triggered by the smallest thing from the other perspective
English

@ronpeasley @mattrife Charlie Kirk never mocked George Floyd? Not saying he was a prominent figure but you can’t get mad Kirk getting mocked when Floyd got mocked. He has a daughter. Also if it’s actually funny nobody cares. You’ve never seen tropic thunder?
English

I don't remember specifically when someone mocked George Floyd. From my perspective I think the whole George Floyd situation was ridiculous. If I make fun of it, I'm not making fun of George Floyd the person, the entire reaction to it, and the false symbol that the left made him become, and how his case isn't worthy of that in my opinion. He's not some hero; he's kind of like a criminal that was literally committing a crime and kind of put himself in that situation.
It's to be debated whether or not the police used excessive force, how he died, and everyone can have their opinions on that. My personal opinion is that George Floyd isn't some crazy hero. At best he put himself in a bad situation and then something worse happened from it.
English

I would actually think this is funny if it was just a general conservative woman and it wasn't Erica Kirk at all. I don't think there's anything wrong with dressing up as a different race to an extent.
Obviously if it's made to be extremely derogatory, if someone did blackface in a way that literally is like being incredibly racist, I think that's not right. If someone is doing blackface just to impersonate another celebrity or another person and they're just making playful jabs, I don't think that's outreach.
you can't fully determine intent and we live in an age where people are being gaslit on intent but I think it's pretty obvious to anyone with any common sense.
English

Counterpoint: you've been building a manual version for years because you've experienced in this vertical.
The only thing is now vibe code allows you to take everything you've built and put it into an app so you actually know the ins and outs of the processes, the bugs, things like that.
Yes it doesn't translate directly to exact software bugs but you know about the usability bugs and the systems and every step of the process.
English

That's kind of my point: there's so much outrage about blackface that everyone kind of stopped it but then, like, white face. If white face is done, then it's kind of funny whereas if anybody mocked, even like a white person on the liberal side whose husband just literally got shot and killed, they would be fucking pissed
English

@ronpeasley @mattrife This has absolutely nothing to do with politics like y’all make it. The people that are mad are white prople. Talking about “if the shoe was on the other foot” like black face hasn’t been a thing for a hundred years
English

@Brian5_8_1899 @therealmissjo This is an account from Peru. Block
English

@therealmissjo I’m not saying what he did was right, but I’m curious as to why she’s not flattered… If a woman did something similar to me, that’s my response.
But I guess women are different.
English

On Wednesday night, a young woman went to a Gunna concert at the O2 in London.
She felt something oozing down her leg. Behind her, a man had ejaculated onto her. She turned and saw his penis sticking out.
She immediately reported it to the venue security and he was caught going to the bathroom to clean himself. He is now in police custody.
It is not even possible to go and watch a concert without someone ruining the evening.

English

@sideseams @TracyKetoHot @MegynKellyShow I don’t think there’s anything wrong with doing the interview - I think Savannah obviously wants to keep this story alive as long as possible until her mother is found
English

@TracyKetoHot @MegynKellyShow She comes across very phony and I don’t understand what the purpose of the interview was? Ratings? Who thought this was a good idea?
English

"With respect, Hoda Kotb fell down on the job. I don’t think she was the woman for this interview. I believe NBC put her out there because they wanted to use this as a promotional vehicle. They wanted to project that Hoda and Savannah are friends and the Today show is a big family."
