@ronsayswhat @mcuban I always wonder that too

@ronsayswhat @mcuban Then he needs to sue his freight forwarder or whoever is charging him because they are screwing him over. We manufacture in China, and tariffs on our products only changed for items invoiced after that date.
English

Imagine being a small business with debt, that you used to import products you had manufactured in china. In the time it took to make the products, tariffs were added, that more than doubled your cost. They are crushed. They will default on their debt.
Are there any states or banks offering support for their businesses ?
English

@ronsayswhat @mcuban Why is it so hard to buy from American Producers rather than continue to use child labor. My business is actually growing. Buy American, Sell American. 0 Tariffs and stop Child Abuse.
English

@brewdawg6 @mcuban It was before any talks of tariffs. Weeks before it was even mentioned. Completely blindsided.
English

@ronsayswhat @mcuban As a small business owner, I feel for your friend. But doesn't he pay attention to the news? Seems that'd be important if you rely on another country for product.
English

@ronsayswhat @mcuban That isn't how it works, your friend isn't properly informed. As long as the products were invoiced before April 9th they are not subject to the new tariffs when they land.
English

Sounds like a weak business that deserves bankruptcy.
If they aren't weak they can pivot and make it themselves.
Not find someone in the US to make it.
Buy tools and machines and make it themselves.
The more volume you have the more it makes sense to outsource to a low cost country. Massive corporations with high volume that compete on price are hurt the worst.

Yea, sharing on social media and considering divorce does seem to be a bit much, though I do wonder how much her husband has understood the cries for help and adjusted behavior. It's challenging for sure, but "till death do us part" means a lot to me and I'm on your side, that isn't something worth divorcing over.
English

@ronsayswhat @CandiceHorbacz Thank you, Ron, for your opposing male perspective. It is about responsibility, respect, caring, and appreciation -both directions. She "considered" divorce because she felt less cared for. Divorce isn't the point.

@UKCarlBroadbent No translations needed. Can post worldwide and the content still performs with a lot less overhead cost. :)

I have been proving to my bank that I actually stopped my 9-5 and starting a business & earned $1m+ in the last 1 year to get a mortgage.
They are having a hard time believing the why, how and what!
They hate Wise for not being the usual bank and don't understand how Stripe works. Want me to keep on proving that I actually made the money, that I own my Stripe account.
and there's no proper way to prove that (other than a screen grab of my Stripe business info page). I keep sending anything and everything their way, the only thing I didn't do was give them login access to all my accounts.
It sucks to be running a business!

The train has departed. Google algo just flipped and Reddit isn’t adored any longer. I hope all of you were able to make some money.

Ron@ronsayswhat
Told you.

Google makes roughly 73% of its revenue from Ads. This is their golden goose, it has been for a VERY long time.
AI overviews and competition from other (better) alternatives are eating into market share. It’s also becoming increasingly difficult for Google to show ads on their search results without being too intrusive, especially when compared to ChatGPT or other LLM’s that have zero ads.
Google has done a good job of squeaking out every ounce of revenue in recent quarters, but the sky will fall with this company and it’ll be interesting to watch. Definitely won’t put them out of business, but very rough waters ahead.

@NicheSiteLady It would be hard enough to make this video with kids, let alone his business model. Good vid though. 👍

This only works if you don’t have kids, but it’s a good method.
