Had the chance to speak to the MGMT 3000 class at CU Denver last week about leadership, management, and running an agency. One big takeaway: Most business problems aren’t strategy problems. They’re people problems. Communication. Trust. Expectations. Accountability. You can have a great offer and a great plan, but if you can’t manage relationships well, none of it works. A few lessons I shared: → Trust is built slowly and lost quickly → Clear communication beats raw talent → Skills can be trained, attitude usually can’t → Leadership is consistency, not control Also reminded students that leadership is learned through mistakes too.
