Yet, I don't feel like today's Twitter is the best channel for sharing thoughts & updates to my work :-/ I just feel strong distaste for any ruthless concentration of power. So, I've signed up for BSky, which seems like a reasonable alternative, and I hope to try it instead :-)

I admit though, I've already moved past the itsec, embracing a new field I could perhaps describe as "Knowledge Security"... I'm dying to write more about it - an endeavour I've been working on for the past 3+ years - but it's still not ready... Hope to write more soon! 😃

I think this shows the PITA with chat apps today is _not_ lack of common network protocol (like SMTP), but lack of agreed *storage* formats/conventions. If we could enforce stronger separation between the apps logic vs data storage, we would be able to switch apps easier.

So you want to ditch WhatsApp? You convinced ur friends to install Signal? You even thought them how to export your chats from WhatsApp? Only these chats now in some unapproachable ZIP file, stored somewhere, not accessible from the New Chat App... Pity it's not like email, eh?
