A huge victory for the animals!! Today we were found NOT GUILTY of burglary for rescuing beagle puppies from MBR Acres as part of an @AnimalRising rescue. In December 2022, myself and 17 others rescued 18 beagles who were destined to be used in animal testing

There’s an old saying that our souls are laid bare by the presence of vulnerability. If that is true, the MBR trial will lay bare the soul of humanity. Are we tormenters of other beings, or their caretakers?

The jury is still in deliberations, and court is closed for the day. The jury continues on Monday. We'll learn then: Will the law deem this act a rescue or a crime?

Currently, myself, Dev, John, Andy, and Jenny are awaiting the verdict for our beagle rescue trial. Everyone remains in good spirits. Regardless of the verdict, we have already won; 18 beagles were saved. Follow me and @AnimalRising for updates. My closing statement to the jury:

I’m facing up to 10 years in prison for rescuing beagle puppies from MBR Acres. I’m currently on trial and due to give evidence on Monday. I’ll be telling the jury exactly why the beagles needed to be rescued. 🐶 #AnimalRights #Beagle

My wife Rose goes on trial starting tomorrow. Her crime? Rescuing 18 beagles from a lab where hundreds are drained of their blood, stabbed in the heart, then cut open to sell their organs. I believe in her, but the industry plays dirty tricks. Pray for her. Pray for the pups.

I’m facing up to 7 years in prison for rescuing labs from King Charles’ Sandringham Estate who were about to go to slaughter. Myself, Rosa and Sarah are waiting to find out whether the trial will go ahead this week at Norwich Crown Court

My wife's team placed cameras in slaughterhouses and documented sheep kicked repeatedly in the face, cowering in fear, and hoisted onto the evisceration line while fully conscious. All violations of law. When my wife rescued 3 of these poor lambs, they charged HER with crimes. Her trial starts today.

My wife Rose goes on trial starting today for rescuing three lambs from King Charles of England. I have a wide range of emotions: - Outrage that the Crown pursues this case, while ignoring 99% of animal cruelty complaints about farms. - Fear over the consequences. Rose and I both are ready for whatever the industry throws at us. But there is so much collateral damage. Rose's elderly parents are understandably frantic. And Ollie, our rescue dog from the dog meat trade in China, trusts Rose—and not many others. - Flabbergasted at the UK legal system's incompetence. The UK can't seem to get basic logistics right, and apparently the trial may be postponed (for the 2nd time) because they can't find a judge. - Inspiration that so many are going to trial this month for the right to rescue. The UK is leading the way, as it did in the fight against slavery. But above all, what I feel is love. Love for the people who are standing up for vulnerable beings, at great personal sacrifice. Love for the animals, who despite the terrors inflicted on them always treat us with kindness and peace. And love for my wife who has led so many brave actions to save animals who have no one else. Rose is the best of us, not the worst of us. And no matter what happens in court today -- delayed or moving forward, convicted or innocent -- I am so proud to call her my wife.

Starting on Monday, my wife Rose (right) and two co-defendants will go on trial for rescuing three lambs from King Charles of England. One of the deep ironies of the crown's prosecution is that they accuse these brave women of "separating lambs from their moms." The reality is that the industry does this already—tearing baby from mom when they are as young as 8 weeks. Then slaughtering them mercilessly in abattoirs that have been repeatedly exposed as rife with criminal abuse. (One recent investigation found a lamb hanging upside down, still conscious, and decapi—ted in front of other lambs quivering in terror.) Indeed, only 1 out of 300 complaints of criminal cruelty at these facilities leads to prosecution. And there are probably 100 instances of abuse for everyone one that leads to a complaint! In short, the Crown is literally prosecuting my wife for saving a defenseless animal from an unspeakable death. Rose and her co-defendants all plan to fight the charges vigorously. No pleas, no begging for leniency. I am proud of my wife. I'll be there in court with her every day next week. I hope you follow this story. There's more at stake than King Charles's sheep, or even my wife's freedom. The question that will be answered is: Will Britain stand for rescue, or slaughter?

🐶 It’s less than four weeks until the first Beagle Rescue Trial, where animal testing will be put on trial before a jury of 12 ordinary people. In 2022 Animal Rising supporters rescued 23 beagles from MBR Acres, a facility in Cambridgeshire that breeds puppies for use in toxic and outdated animal experiments.

This is Julie, shortly after being rescued from Ridglan Farms, trying to climb stairs after a lifetime in a 2 x 4 cage. This shows the damage inflicted on the Ridglan dogs. Many of them struggle to engage in basic tasks because of the psychosis caused by confinement. But this video also shows the beauty of what could be achieved IF prosecutor Tim Gruenke does the right thing. Because Julie struggled... but she got to the top. Gruenke, stop protecting abuse. Give these dogs a chance to climb stairs, to look up at the bright sky, to find a family who loves them for the first time in their lives. It's your duty, and it's their right.
