Today the St. Paul City Council unanimously passed their own version of Pause Evictions, Save Lives, and extended pre-filing eviction timelines to 60 days through the end of 2026. This critical protection was lead by Council Members HwaJeong Kim and @NelsieYang.

If you’re in your car in traffic and you see people moving smoothly on bikes in a protected bike-lane, or a full bus zooming past you in a bus-only lane, sure you could be mad at them for moving faster than you, or you could be someone who understands geometry and knows that providing mobility choices that take less space makes getting around cities better for EVERYONE.

In Chicago, you can get COVID-safe dental care with multilayered mitigation.
Staff test in advance. Respirators. HEPA. Far-UVC. These should be foundational practices in dentistry, among the most dangerous occupations for airborne infectious disease.

Getting ready for my appointment at #COVIDconscious dental day at Molar City Chicago! All staff and patients test in advance, staff mask in respirators, and all rooms have HEPA filtration and Far-UVC. Using my @readimask and breathing in through my nose! #yallmasking

Librarian jobs are *notoriously* difficult to get and almost always require extensive graduate work (like, masters degree barely minimum) to even be considered.
Paying them $55k is straight up poverty wages considering the amount of debt they take on to just get in the door.

I love trees in dense neighborhoods but don't make homeowners responsible for their upkeep and fine them when they don't.
Trees provide a service for all beings in the city so let's have the city/county/state look after them.

I agree. Billionaires shouldn't exist.
Dr. Allison Wiltz@queenie4rmnola
Billionaires shouldn't exist in a society where people are starving and homeless. Their wealth is a sign of a society that has failed to allocate resources equitably. That's true no matter how likable or unlikeable they are

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. noted, “we have deluded ourselves into believing the myth that capitalism grew and prospered out of the Protestant ethic of hard work and sacrifice. The fact is capitalism was built on the exploitation and suffering of Black slaves and continues to thrive on the exploitation of the poor — both Black and abroad.”

Remember, if you’re interested in what REALLY “drives” a lot of regional growth & infrastructure politics, it’s pretty much this.

✨ What’s blooming? Crocus! One of the first signs of spring, these tiny perennials bring bright pops of color after winter. 💜🧡 #MNarboretum
