Friends, this is Deb's husband (@andclev) typing. It is my tragic duty to share that Deb passed away yesterday from brain cancer. We have all lost a voice of reason and compassion, and I hope that those who found inspiration in her words will carry on in the example she set. ❤

I admit I said this. Because it's true. This is irresponsible. Yes it's outdoors. But these folks are together for an extended period of time without masks.

This sounds like the treatment for my cancerous brain tumor. But migrants aren't cancer-- they're people-- people seeking a better life. It's impossible to consider treating migrants this way if you see them as people. But Trump & his admin repeatedly make clear they do not.

My understanding of the poli-sci consensus is that voters care about whatever the press and political leaders signal they should care about it. So when we give the "lol nobody cares" treatment to a violation of federal law we're not describing reality, we're creating it.

Great suggestion-- I listened to Hawaiian guitar music at today's session! I welcome other musical recommendations! Ideas for 30 min under a laser beam and kinda-claustrophobic molded plastic face mask? Any music is eligible-- they just plug the keywords into YouTube or spotify.

@roseperson I called my six weeks of daily radiation my six weeks of daily meditation. They had a nice sound system there and I had them put on the Keola Beamer Hawaiian Slack Key guitar channel. I closed my eyes and pictured myself lying on the beach in Hawaii. The time flew by!

Since surgery, all I want to eat is avgolemono (Greek lemon chicken orzo soup). My parents (with husband warming) keep me well stocked, along with our longtime go-to Greek restaurant. Now that I've started radiation, I think I should get a punch card, & a soup per zap.
