#IfWishesCouldKill review: (4.5/5) — we're barely halfway into the year, but this show successfully got me into a surprisingly thrill ride out of many k-shows i tried to watch in the last few months. main casts are young and far from "established", less expectations coming from the general audience but it's another proof that a good show isn't all about big casting, rather substantial screenplay is enough to carry. conceptually far from innovative, forgivable unattended arcs here and there (on their defense, some actresses mentioned possibility of another season), but the show itself cinematically studies the classic elements of horror with humor subtly blending into the direction as a breather from edge-of-your-seat worthy scenes. my favorite thing has to be the backstory of the ghosts, as it develops around my favorite moral theme: projection of inferiority. occupying the #1 spot for 2026 k-shows, highly recommended!
