It was all fun and games when we were the genuinely poor, plucky underdog. But now that we are richer than most, boasting about our big GDP, and people like Miggledy makes his naive pontifications about defence. It's all starting to piss people off both Stateside, and EU-side.

I'm not sure we as a country are ready for the 2-pronged "wait a minute" reactions that are brewing amongst peer countries. 1) our tax scams 2) shirking defence spending. You might be totally ok with 1&2, but influential voices are saying "why DO they get to get away with that"
