@sandymillin Thanks for the comment and link Sandy! Very nice insight into your thought process. I guess at the time of tweeting this I was expecting job opportunities to come my way post-Delta but that hasn't been the case so far.

When you finish teaching a class, what are the things that make you think ‘that was a good class’ vs those that make you frustrated or annoyed about how it went?

@ross_elt I'd say that teacher training is a tougher nut to crack as there are relatively few positions and a lot of trainers going for them, though with the shift to webinars due to COVID, might be a good time to get teacher development experience.

The good news is that the Cambridge Handbook of #TBLT, edited by Mike and @mjahmadian (featuring chapters by our podcast guests), will come out this year. Looking forward to it. cambridge.org/core/books/cam… (2/2)

@myles_klynhout Thanks for the reply Myles! You've made a very valid point with your other comment too about why we can't continue as teachers. I guess it's the idea of career progression and also the search for improved financial conditions that maybe drive the pursuit post Delta...

@ross_elt The Academy where I worked partially funded my #DELTA as I became an ADOS - so it occurred in parallel. But soon went freelance due to poor working conditions. In terms of readiness, if it's a director role in private language teaching you're after - get an MBA 😅.

@ross_elt Follow up question the great minds of #ELT in this thread 😉. Why is the #Delta associated with moving into a management role? It does not cover teacher training, business management or HR training. Why can't we be teachers? @neil_mcm @11thhourspecial @admiralwamy @RobbioDobbio
