I think the most disappointing thing about Alexander Isak forcing his move to Liverpool is that he’s disrespected his very own legacy at Newcastle United.
The pin up boy, every young fan’s favourite player and the man that scored the winning goal to end a 70 year trophy drought. He was a club legend and could do no wrong.
But this summer, he did. He’s essentially thrown those three years away, as if he had very little or no respect for the bonds he had built and the things he himself had achieved. It’s a quite incredible fall from grace for someone who had written their name into club folklore #NUFC #LFC

🚨 EXCL: 🛬 Alexander Isak is due back in Newcastle today following his personal training camp in Spain. 🇪🇸 The Newcastle striker has been training at Real Sociedad's training headquarters on his own, after refusing to travel with Newcastle on their pre-season tour of Asia — citing a thigh injury. 🗣️ Eddie Howe said this morning in South Korea that he found out Isak had travelled to Spain via the media. 💰 ❌ Liverpool yesterday had a £110m bid for the striker rejected by Newcastle. 💰 ❓ Newcastle this morning made a £70m offer to RB Leipzig for Benjamin Sesko as they attempt to line up a replacement for Isak, should he leave for Liverpool. ✈️ Newcastle are due back from their pre-season tour on Monday.
