As the Metro Bank One Day Cup starts - you wouldn't know from the lack of interest in the media and the ECB - outgrounds start to be used. This was an old one, the rather unlovely Courtaulds ground in Coventry, used by Warwickshire from 1946 to 1983, here against Surrey in 1966

The company-owned ground staged cricket but with the decline in companies subsidising staff sport the venue fell into disrepair and stood derelict for three decades, finally being sold in 2018 and replaced by a housing estate

@JohnC12670149 @sianharries_ @twlldun Some of the Seats they gave Reform a 99% chance of winning were not close at all. Barnsley North and South. They gave Hartlepool as 91%, again, not close. Obviously, modelling the Reform vote was very difficult.

@sianharries_ @twlldun It's not an exact science. I'll bet the 8 they didn't get were close? (And possibly a 3 way fight between Labour, Conservative and Reform - which makes it harder)

The Exit Poll did quite well in some respects but what was that middle of the night thing where John Curtice randomly added 23 seats to the Tories then changed his mind, changed it back and never mentioned it again.

@BenCrellin Have to think more than their EP. There are the 2 Barnsley seats straight away, that EP made 99%, and have both gone LAB
