@ianmiles I’m afraid this decision reeks of desperation. There is no end game. X revenues are down 55%, and they are trying to attract new advertisers by suing previous advertisers🤔.

GARM and its partners rigged the advertising market to exclude X, Rumble, certain journalists, gamers, activists, etc. from receiving advertising funds. It's anti-competitive to the marketplace, and it damages goes against the free market by incentivizing certain kinds of behaviors (i.e. systematic wokeness), and penalizing others (free speech, certain political topics). It also artificially inflates the value of companies that play by the rules (e.g. Google, YT) while penalizing others (Rumble, X). It is a de facto boycott by a cartel. It's really no different than the Canadian bread price fixing scandal of 2018 or the Phoebus Cartel that rigged the sales of incandescent light bulbs with planned obsolescence and price fixing. And yes, it is illegal and it needs to be stopped. Contrary to the nonsense socialists seem to believe about capitalism, you can't rig the market like this and there's nothing capitalistic about cartel-like behavior. (Video by Linda Yaccarino. X and Rumble are suing these organizations)

@lindayaX @lindayaX you are an experienced media exec, and you know you haven’t got a snowballs chance in hell of a successful outcome by going down this route. It’s quite easy….introduce content moderation to ensure you can deliver a town square that brands are happy to advertise in.

@lindayaX I’m very happy to boycott every advertiser on X. Is that ok? 😜

What can you do? 1.Limit car app permissions on your phone, including location; 2.Opt-out of any data collection; 3. Submit an opt-out request to your car manufacturer. buff.ly/3TvT3HZ #privacy #vehicledata

A slide from the IAPP session on PETS. It was clear that companies struggle to evaluate new solutions for a privacy- first world. My basic advice? Don’t start with a company that profited from a lack of care in privacy. Start with one that set out to preserve privacy day one.
