Hey guys, wanted to address something important around the recent situation with Mr. Puzzles

Its so frustrating to see smg4 fans harp on about "what the REAL point is" as if mod hasn't explicitly stated how much the existance of puzzles affects them and their work. being reminded of it is so violating to them it makes them ill and smg4 fans just dont care

@OCT0POSS3 The number of coincidences is indefensible, intended or not. Its not just broad tropes, its small details that could have easily been changed when they were asked to two years ago. Instead, smg4 ignored them, and so far, continues to do so

@rottwater idk, these are all tropes that happened to be used my issue lies in the fact people say rgb got Stolen when they have a bunch of differences and many design parts can be knocked up to Coincidence

people r being so weird abt the puzzles + rgb situation both are based around the same things, obviously they're going to look alike. no one copied either. and no, guys, puzzles' mouth should not be drawn with different colours theyre based on a REAL TV THING just like rgb's

@rottwater The cause of the harassment is because of the designs. But what I was trying to say is that people shouldn't be focusing on the designs alone, and focus more on the main point: harassment. I've seen people saying stuff about the designs, but ignoring the harassment.

My opinion about Mr Puzzles and RGB from TPoH The similarities of designs of both characters are not the main point. It's that SOME Mr Puzzles fans have been harassing Modmad, the creator of RGB, TPoH, to the verge of 😵👈 herself— (1/6) #smg4 #tpoh #rgbtpoh #mrpuzzles

@FM54321 If it were that simple why did no one respond when originally asked two years ago? You couldn't even be bothered to change miniscule details when politely requested? Are we really supposed to believe that out of ALL the iterations, the one you picked was a yahtzee?

@IceySaur the reason this is an issue in the first place is because people care that its NOT a coincidence. mod wants peace too, but smg4 has left them hanging for years. you are reading me in bad faith and Im done replying now. again, consider what you want to value

#smg4 Selfish as this is, I am NOT dropping Puzzles and Puzzles content (even if it's a bit disheartening when there may NEVER be an answer). He means way too much to me for me to do that. If that makes you uncomfortable, by all means, block me (but let me know first because-

@IceySaur I have been giving people one, maybe two calm replies each, that isnt harassment. Ive been doing it because mod is a small creator with fewer fans. support for them deserves equal footing with a much larger fandom of a studio-made show

@IceySaur it IS about the characters. mod has described RGB and TPOH as being deeply personal, and that having it copied is so upsetting it makes them sick. if youve read my replies to others, you know that already. puzzles is important to you, but RGB is a slice of mod's heart

@ItzFryFur RGB isnt just some random CRT head. unfortunately there are way too many minute similarities to be defensible, ones that smg4 could only have gotten reference for from RGB. there is more to it, and harassment is only a symptom of it

To finish this off, please go and give the support to both parties. My Opinion: Mr. Puzzles and RGB are their own characters and not stolen. People who are saying this would look over at the person next to them drawing something similar to them and say "Your Copying" Grow. Up.

@purpletoastr3a1 so generic these two seem like the only ones to do it. the TV model with those dials in those proportions with those vents is not one that exists in real life. there is ONE place smg4 could have gotten reference for all those little details in one place. crazy

Hot Take: RGB and Mr. Puzzles BARLEY look anything alike, it's very generic attire on top of that and neither do they own the error mouth screen, it's a very basic design choice || #mrpuzzles #tpoh #smg4
