I want to set the record straight on tariffs and my POV. Yes, I am currently a part of the laptop class. Yes, my retirement savings have been brutalized in recent days. Yes, I'm very near retirement age. Yet I have not lost sight of my working class roots. Further, like everyone else, pro and con, I do not know with certainty what the outcome will be of the Trump Tariffs. Unlike many, I am willing to give Donald Trump the benefit of the doubt and support his actions, until he proves my trust to be misplaced. He has yet to do that. Finally, I am entirely sympathetic to fixing the scourge of unbalanced globalism because it's the right thing to do, even if it causes me personal pain. I really wish more "conservatives" thought like me.
