@jaycaspiankang I think you probably picked the researcher who is the MOST focused on supporting teachers’ professionalism and judgment out there. This is a great opportunity for you to engage further with us to understand why your assertion about the authors is so off.

@ilana_horn It seemed that even the author knew you were not making the claims he was “refuting.”

@mgolding @Dsrussosusan getting students to unpack and evaluate claims about how to re-express expressions with logarithms and exponents: “J claims that this re-expression is an identity… Show why they are (in)correct.”

@cluzniak … if there is no linkage, then how does every student develop the skills and understanding?

@cluzniak I would be curious to have participants connect “practice to better develop skills, understanding and retention in math” and “requirements in class we grade.”

Should we give homework? Is it important? What questions should we ask our debaters?

@StudyMaths if all the segments in the intermediate stages are horizontal or vertical (parallel to the bottom base or left side), then we do nothing to the overall perimeter. when we replace any of those two segments with a diagonal, we reduce the distance between two points.

Where do we lose the 2?
