October 14, 1888 Louis Le Prince films the first motion picture, Roundhay Garden Scene. The elderly woman at the far right, dressed in black, died ten days after this footage was shot.

On Saturday evening we had the most incredible Gala Concert to raise money for new choir stalls. The Choir under the baton of our Director of Music, Rob, has outgrown the current choir stalls. We're so grateful to all the performers for their incredible efforts.

1FB LOVED Forest School this week! We did a mini beast hunt, an animal pairing game and made our own mini big hotels! Thank you Miss Goldsborough for a wonderful experience 🌿🐞🕷 #forestschool #strengthofcharacter

Tonight we have our Run & Talk session. 1900 from Roundhay Fox. This is a social walk/run with the emphasis on people getting to know each other & feeling relaxed. Led by our mental health ambassador, Mark. facebook.com/events/3818480…

What a great morning we had completing some Geography fieldwork! We firstly identified areas with litter and pollution, and made conclusions around the impact of a densely populated area. We then made a plan of action! ♻️🚯 #EcoWarriors #TheBigCleanUp #WeAreRoundhay #Community

We are having a great afternoon with @SaferRoadsLeeds learning about travelling to school in an environmentally-friendly way. We scooted up to Oakwood clock and walked 1km to learn about sustainable travel over short distances, building on our maps work from last week!
