Can’t stop thinking about that 19 year old trans girl who was murdered. She was so young. How many years of being herself did she even get to experience? We are born so late and die so young

nothing we could ever do to this world will ever make up for what it's done to us

so sickening how often memorial posts for trans women have to be locked because depraved dogs act demonic. may she rest in peace. femicide is horrific.

This is exactly what fucks me up. ''Born so late and die so young'' perfectly captures the feeling. Hence why I cried and sobbed among my friends after finding out the news. I so deeply in my core relate to ''not having lived'' until I started taking HRT. After starting, I finally, for the first time felt like I was ''alive.'' This body, this feeling, was mine and I was finally here. I'm sure most trans people know what I mean, I would do anything to get those years I lost back but there is nothing I can do about it. In a way I think this feeling transcends being trans, the idea of having wasted so many years, a portion of your life and just living on auto pilot until one day you finally start being your genuine self is a feeling I'm sure many cis people can relate to as well for many different reasons. This idea of being stuck in life, feeling like not moving forward for reasons that might be within or outside your control is also a topic that is constantly explored in media. The whole plot of ''Breaking Bad'' revolves around this concept, where Walter following his cancer diagnosis, for better or worse, decides to take the wheels of his own life and feels ''awake'' for the first time as if something inside him woke up. Even though he loses almost everything in the process he still does it and acknowledges it all in the finale saying he did it because it made him feel alive. Whether you are cis, trans, gay, depressed, sad, scared or simply at a point at your life where you feel lost. Just know that there is an amazing potential within you waiting to be discovered by other equally amazing people. Make sure you are seen. Idk, Ig I wanted to ramble a bit, ty for reading. 💖

According to the King County Medical Examiner’s office report this afternoon: 19-year-old Juniper Blessing has been identified as the victim of the stabbing. A memorial for the student, who is transgender, has been growing in UW’s Red Square this week. @komonews

Remembering Morgan Moore, who died at 17 years old due to criminal neglect from his parents. He and his siblings were all living in a filthy apartment and his parents refused to medicate him for his debilitating disability. He was a talented musician. May he rest in pride :(
