Chester Bennington passed away on this day 9 years ago at just 41 🥺 Rest in peace to the unforgettable voice of Linkin Park 🙏 Remembering Chester Bennington, who passed away nine years ago today at the age of 41. As the lead vocalist of Linkin Park, he helped transform modern rock by blending metal, punk, hip-hop, and electronic music with deeply emotional lyrics that gave a voice to millions. Chester’s powerful screams and vulnerable melodies defined songs such as “In the End,” “Numb,” “Crawling,” and “What I’ve Done.” Linkin Park’s music became deeply connected to pop culture, especially through the Transformers films, with tracks like “What I’ve Done,” “New Divide,” and “Iridescent” becoming inseparable from the franchise. Their songs also reached television and animation through shows including Family Guy and American Dad! Chester passed away on July 20, 2017, but his music continues to comfort, inspire, and connect with listeners around the world. Rest in peace, Chester Bennington. Your voice will never be forgotten ❤️
