Seven Summit Treks chairman Mingma Sherpa confirms the death of Tenjen (Lama) Sherpa. Tenjen who recently completed 14 eight-thousanders in just 92 days along with Kristin Harila, outdoing Nirmal Purja's previous record of 189 days, went missing in Shishapagma since yesterday, along with his client/fellow climber Gina Marie Rzucidlo after avalanche hit the route they were climbing towards the summit. ཨོཾ་མ་ཎི་པདྨེ་ཧཱུྃ!🙏 Photo ©: Tenjen Lama Archives.

The thieves do not consider the impacts this might have on the safety of our people when they arrive to find this vital equipment gone. This is the work of cheap operators who do not have enough of their own equipment and have to steal to cover the shortfall. I think this may only be the start, we already hear of some of the large cheap operators not having enough oxygen to supply this teams. Doug Hansen (46, USA), Andrew Harris (31, NZ), Yasuko Namba (47, Jp), Scott Fischer (40, USA), Robert (Rob) Hall (35, NZ), and the three Indian climbers Dorje Morup (47), Tsewang Paljor (28) and Tsewang Smanla (38) died in a fatal storm known as 1996 #Everest disaster.
