@2KFanJim @LL_Nap I agree with you completely. 3v3 holds no retention viewership wise. League has a market appeal issue not a game mode issue. If I had to bet on the immediate future, I’d guess 70% downsizing and a year off for the new management to understand scope better.

@RoyKhris @LL_Nap Keeping it a 💵. W/O 5v5 you don’t have any version of a league. Even players that won 3v3 hated it. Nothing to bring to the table if rumors are true about the “new” format. Sounds like a 🤡 show. Last, any revamping won’t happen for at least a year. People will have moved on 💯

@RoyKhris Yes kind of. But these players are gamers, not entertainers. Hard to ask them to be an entertainer, when they drafted because of their 2K skills.

I got a question. Why does professional e-sports players making content matter? Isn’t that on the teams and the league? If we want good content from players, then wouldn’t it just be better to draft bigger content creators and bigger streamers? NBA 2K24 | NBA 2K League

@LL_Nap That being said if players hammer content & can bring something to the table in addition to 2K then it’ll probably give them the best odds to be a part of whatever the ‘new’ version of the league is (3v3, MyTeam etc). Pro FIFA is a good example of what league might shift to.

@LL_Nap League won’t be ending. Not common to hire a new M7 CEO w/ this much strategy experience & then terminate. Year over year league has cut cost & prize pool bc 2022-2024 was a horrible time to attract sponsors w/ major companies downsizing. Just a massive restructuring coming.

@GrizxK @Simptoms_ Think we were 4th in the west pre Zay suspension & he was definitely on pace for OROY. KZ was def the 3rd best PG in that draft imo Season 5 & performed to the standard we wanted him to. Still think w a high usg%/high output SG on his hash he’s a solid PG in this league.

@GrizxK @Simptoms_ Nah it was about team build. KZ was never built to be a high usage primary scorer, that year we had JT & Sick. Zay was shooting so crazy out of the corner teams would switch triangle side to guard him, was a generationally talented player. Environment & usage matter.

Y’all remember how y’all claimed KZ was a good guard cause he made offs with Jerry on his team then he was the worst next szn then y’all claimed Harry was good cause he made a finals appearance with Jerry on his team well now he’s bottom 5 in almost all stats (1/2)

@SELDUM_ I think a lot of guys are handcuffed by the ‘watchability’ of whatever 2K it is. The trick was to build your following while the league & 2K held higher interest Season (1-4) & then once you build a decent & loyal following pivot into more (like Adin).
