That keeps criticism useful to the network.

This one's for @alessandrod, @niteshnath & @uriklarman I appreciate your criticism on the previous posts.
but as a key opinion leader on solana I believe it's your responsibility to shed light on other side of the issues as well which I've talked in the recent post.
doing so puts you at risks of your relationship with @mert & @toly but in a consensus driven society not expressing truth or not standing by it is worst action for the network itself.
you have to understand I have been talking about CASE-2
CASE-1 was never my problem
My point of view allows me to shed light on the problem and making sure it's not diverged by the heaviest efforts from @toly, @mert or anyone on @solana.
I can't stand something wrong happening in the network and not talking about it or not getting the answers back from the ones responsible for this. I believe in seeing what's the truth instead of bowing down to the conformity.
I stand for @solana noone else.

This ends now. Even if I must drag the gods down with it. lets go over simple set of assumptions i am making @mert let me know which one doesn't make sense. I bill 10SOL per slot for consults. 1. the validator has to periodically release shreds [thus txns reaching the TPU have to pass through without delaying] - Network requirement/Social consensus 2. Backrunning any txn - Involves route searching across the chain state - takes 10-20 ms atleast [including latency even if co located] 3. A backrun can be done in two ways -> either the source is passed through and the searcher only gets a signal and backrun goes separately [CASE 1] or you bundle the source and backrun [CASE 2] 4. in CASE 1 [10-20 ms delay = txn will be several positions apart] CASE 2 [src,backrun will be n and n+1] 5. As multiple txns in this thread have shown, there are CASE 2s with this searcher on bald slots. 6. Thus to do Case 2; you have to hold the source for 10-20 ms 7. Which means, the price of execution [within users slippage tolerance] - would differ than what he could have gotten in case 1 8. CASE 1 is fine, CASE 2 is not 9. @toly and you both are trying to make a fool of your audience, letting them think you are doing CASE 1, but doing CASE 2. Because 2 makes much more money per backrun vs CASE 1 [coz your guy mriya, gets a priority lane behind the user] coming up with straight answers is rough, requires acceptance, balls, agency & courage. hope you'll use it this time. @trentdotsol @sonic_from_ny @toly @uriklarman @bencirc @0xrafal @alessandrod @niteshnath @bigtimetapin @helius

The next major feature upgrade to @PhoenixTrade will finally leverage @solana DeFi's greatest asset: spot liquidity. Traders will soon be able to post SOL and other tokens as collateral for their positions.
A few caveats before I dive in:
- I hate announcing things before they ship. Talk is cheap, and execution is hard. And nobody cares that the execution is hard.
- Phoenix is not the fully on-chain perps venue to have spot collateral. This was one of the best features offered by Drift and Mango. As with everything we build, Phoenix's approach will never be a blind copy-paste of our predecessors.
I'm excited about this feature for many reasons.
1. Solana users with SOL and other tokens but no USDC no longer need to sell their assets to deposit and trade on Phoenix.
2. Users and vaults who want to run long spot, short perp basis strategies no longer need to think about manually rebalancing.
3. Sophisticated users who trade both spot and perps can keep their capital on Phoenix and simultaneously trade spot while margining their perps positions. I'll write more about this in a future post. I think it's one of the coolest things that no other perps platform can do. And it is only possible because Phoenix is fully on-chain.
There are 2 questions I get asked often that I often find challenging to answer:
1. Why does it matter that Phoenix is fully on-chain?
2. Why should I trade on Phoenix over [X]?
Here is my definitive answer.
Being on-chain gives Phoenix access to Solana's capital, users, and liquidity in a way no off-chain venue can. Most people think that Phoenix is the exchange and Solana is the infrastructure platform, but they have that backwards. Solana is a programmable exchange, and Phoenix is infrastructure that taps into everything Solana offers. You shouldn't trade on Phoenix; you should trade on Solana, because Solana will be the decentralized protocol that houses the world's financial assets. Phoenix is simply the best window into that on-chain future.
This is how the composability thesis will finally play out, a couple of years late.
