The quickest way to improve your trading is to completely dismantle the misguided rulebook stuck in your head. Question everything: What you trade, how frequently you trade, the strategy you saw online that you trade. Start on a fresh basis that there is no pre-defined way of doing things. Track your own performance and make adjustments based on YOUR performance not anyone else's. The biggest mistake I made was letting other people have too much influence over the way I trade. The most progress came when I stopped subconsciously listening to the constraints that other people had put on their own trading. The very best ideas I've had are not from those I've read online, but those I've come up with myself.

I looked at the top 100 coins from the 2021 cycle peak and asked a simple question: by the 2025 total market cap peak, how many had actually reclaimed their own 2021 highs? • 91/100 were below their own 2021 high • Only 37/100 were still top 100 • Median return vs own 2021 high: -92.71% Read that slowly: At the 2025 market peak (!), the median 2021 top-100 coin was still down about 93% from its own 2021 high. Cardano, gonna flip Ethereum any day now. Boom. −70.6% Polkadot, interoperability n shit. Boom. −91.9% VeChain, supply chain revolution innit? Boom. −90.7% List goes on and on and on. The worst possible existence in crypto is to get onboarded by the appeal of positive momentum and trend, and then end up as a community member bagholding the dogshit that only has momentum to the downside, heading toward irrelevance. Never, ever become a community member.

Telling people to buy alts during a BTC bear market is straight-up diabolical. Anyone with a shred of experience knows you don't touch alts when BTC is in a downtrend.

The people who tell retail to "believe," to "have conviction," to hold through anything, have probably done more damage to this space than anyone except the outright scammers. You do not come into this market to believe in something. None of this means you have to abandon your actual principles. You can be a privacy guy, or care about decentralization, or whatever it is. But holding a principle is completely separate from holding some shitty token, and the whole scam is getting you to feel like the two are the same thing when they never were.
